The figure lies in a bed of sticks representing memories.  These memories can be a comforting nest or a dangerous pyre.  As I grow older, I am amused at how various people in my family have quite different memories of the same events.  Some events were pivotal and created strong memories in some, while others remember them not at all.  Some of our strongest collective memories come from pictures, stories and scrapbooks.

As an artist, working in an era where personal identity, memory and artifacts are valued, my memories indeed fuel my imagination.
