| Linda Ganstrom "The BodyBook on Marriage" 2003 Sabbatical Exhibition Large ink wash and claypaintings illustrated individual couples and their approaches to marriage. The back of each portrait displayed a second abstract painting symbolizing their feelings about their relationships. The bodycast ceramic torsos were covered with statistics about marriage from the 2000 US Census and other government studies of marriage and the family. I felt the torsos were like pages of text illustrated by the snapshot images above them. |
